Steve McCurry, the “photojournalist” who took the iconic “Afghan girl” photo, had a great view of the WTC towers on September 11, and took many photos at ground zero. According to him,
I’d gotten back from a month in Tibet at 8 p.m. on September 10. So on the morning of September 11 I’d been back about 12 hours. I live by Washington Square Park, and my office has a view of Lower Manhattan. I was there, going through mail with my assistant, when we got a phone call saying that the World Trade Center was on fire. I looked out my window and saw both towers were on fire.
I got my camera bag and went up on the roof of my building and started photographing the towers. We didn’t even know it was a plane, because we were up on the roof without the radio or TV. We all thought it was a fire that would eventually be put out—a terrible disaster, I mean both towers were on fire. I figured I’d shoot it from my roof for about 20 minutes and then go down to the base.
CIA Director Brennan Met With French Secuity Chief Before Paris Attacks – Report | 13 Nov 2015 | The White House correspondent for French television network Canal+, Laura Haim, reported an interesting tidbit during a live report with MSNBC’s Brian Williams Friday evening. Haim stated that Central Intelligence Agency director, John O. Brennan, recently met with his counterpart, French intelligence (DGSE) director Bernard Bajolet. The French equivalent of MI6 and CIA is the Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure. Sylvestre, a victim of the Friday the 13th Paris Attacks – owes his life to his Samsung Galaxy.
“Voilà, here’s the phone which, after the shot…well, this is what saved me … otherwise my head would have, well, exploded… voilà…” [ Interviewer asks about his wounds – so he then points at his foot and says:] “Well, there’s also the, the… [INAUDIBLE] who blew up my other shoe, so they put a bandage around my toe – and I have also taken an impact here [shows his belly / covered by stained T-shirt]which penetrated here, so they bandaged that right here… and it was thanks to my jacket, which absorbed the impact of the…….. [stops talking / doesn’t clarify if object was ‘bullet’ or not] so, frankly, I don’t wish for this to happen to anyone…”
“Laura and Césaré have survived. Yet last night , Friday, November 13 , while traveling by car, rue de Charonne , they found themselves in the crosshairs of terrorists. The man , armed with a Kalashnikov rifle , opened fire on them. Several bullets hit the car, and Césaré almost died .”
“There is a war that is being waged using terrorist proxy groups and they are being used against nation states. […] You now have terrorist attacks being committed by terrorists funded, armed, and trained by Western intelligence agencies. There is NO such thing as ISIS. ISIS is a creation of the United States. We know that from official sources of the U.S. military themselves. Declassified documents from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) have confirmed that.”
Hours Before the Terror Attacks, Paris Practiced for a Mass Shooting
Although dozens of victims suffered grave injuries, very few have died in hospitals.
November 17, 2015 — 12:58 PM EST
The world watched in horror as the death toll from the Paris terror attacks steadily climbed. By the time the three-hour rampage ended on Saturday and authorities put the number of those killed at 129, onlookers could only brace for worse news to come. More than 400 people received medical treatment at hospitals in the stricken city; dozens of them were listed in critical condition.
The second spike in the death toll never came. Just three of those hospitalized with grave injuries have died in the four days since the attacks.
The world-class status of the French health-care system deserves much of the credit. But a good deal of preparation, experience, and more than a little bit of lucky timing also helped save lives.
Since the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January, from which 16 people died, Paris-area ambulance crews and emergency personnel have taken part in regular exercises designed to test their readiness for possible attacks. One such exercise was held on Friday morning, the day of the latest terror attacks. In a twist of fate, the simulated emergency was a mass shooting, according to Dr. Mathieu Raux, emergency room chief at the Pitié-Salpetrière hospital in Paris.
During Friday’s exercise, trauma specialists used a centralized dispatch system to set priorities and direct victims to the ER best equipped to treat their injuries. Ambulance services made sure they were ready to roll, and hospitals verified that surgeons and staff could be quickly summoned to treat arriving victims. “We tested every link in the chain,” Raux said. Because Paris emergency physicians work 24-hour shifts, virtually every ER doctor on duty in the city Friday night had already taken part in the exercise earlier that day.
The training paid off at Pitié-Salpetrière, a sprawling medical complex in southeastern Paris that specializes in emergency treatment of what doctors call “penetration trauma,” such as gunshot wounds. The hospital was alerted to the attacks at 9:40 p.m., 20 minutes after explosions at the Stade de France marked the beginning of the rampage. Within an hour, just as the first ambulances were pulling up, Pitié-Salpetrière had 10 operating rooms prepared and fully staffed with surgeons and surgical nurses.
Pitié-Salpetrière received 52 victims in total, 25 of which had suffered critical injuries. “Some were shot in the head, some had bullets everywhere, in the chest, arms, legs,” Raux said. “I never, ever saw anything like it.”
Two patients at Pitié-Salpetrière died shortly after arrival and a third victim died at another hospital in the city, according to a spokeswoman for Paris’s public hospital system. No additional attack victims have died since Saturday, although 29 remained in intensive care as of Monday night.
Attack victims also benefited from the battlefield experience of veterans who now hold key positions in Paris’s emergency response system. Philippe Juvin, head of emergency services at the Georges Pompidou hospital, a major trauma center, served as an anesthesiologist in Afghanistan in 2008. In interviews during the past few days, Juvin told French news media that his experience helped prepare him for the 50 victims who streamed into his ER. Juvin told the Associated Press that he saw “gun battles, explosions, buildings on fire, accidents with casualties” during his time in Afghanistan. Still, the doctor said, he had “never seen as many victims at once.”
Raux is optimistic that most victims still hospitalized at Pitié-Salpetrière will survive. “These were young patients,” he said, “between 20 and 40 years.” That makes them strong and resilient, as well as fortunate that Paris’s first responders were ready for the worst.
The Mirror has unearthed footage of the chilling moment militants issued a direct threat to the owners for hosting pro-Israel events.
The gang of about 10 masked men recorded themselves demanding to speak to the management before threatening door staff, saying: “You will pay the consequences of your actions.
“We came here to pass along a small message. Be warned. Next time we won’t be coming here to talk.”
The disturbing four-and-a-half-minute clip is believed to have been filmed in 2008 and starts with the camera zooming in on the awning outside the entrance to the club before focusing on the Le Bataclan sign.
Around 10 men all wearing Arab head scarves covering their faces, are then seen crossing the road and walking in front of the camera.
One of the group menacingly walks up to two bouncers and speaking in French, asks to talk to “someone from the Bataclan administration”.
A group of revellers queuing up to into the club watch on in concern as the same man goes on a three-minute rant about their fury over the venue hosting “galas to raise fund for the Israeli army” adding “and we can’t continue to accept that”.
Between 2006 and 2009, the Bataclan is understood to have hosted the annual fundraising gala of the French Jewish Migdal, a non-profit group for the Israeli border police.
In the footage, one of the masked men goes on: “It has been four years now that evening galas are held here to raise fund for the Israeli army .
“It happens each month of January and for a number of years.
“We are youth from several districts in the suburbs of Paris and we support the Palestinian people.
“Many people in the neighbourhoods start to crack because of this provocation.
“We are clear, determined. And we don’t this gala to be held. We will have the means to meet the director in order to give them this message directly.”
The group then walk away from the front entrance before the same man, standing alongside his mashed gang members, speaks directly into the camera before delivering a prophetic warning.
“We went to the Bataclan with a small squad, to pass a very clear message to the Bataclan owners, who host once again this year a gala to raise fund for the Israeli army and the Malgav.
“This is a provocation that has gone on for a number of years.
“And many youths in our neighbourhoods want to react. Because only the associations have reacted a little bit.
“Our message is for the Bataclan owners – you will be held responsible for your actions.
“This message is also for the organisers, the Migdal.
“This pro-Israeli organization is racist and Islamophobic, insulting all the time Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims. You will pay for your actions.
“That’s very serious what you’re doing. And this is a message for all those who are preoccupied by the implications of these provocations.
“You must know that things are moving in our neighbourhoods. And things are getting hot.
“The next time, we won’t be here to talk.”
French police are understood to have been made aware of the incident and at least one other threat against the nightspot.
Tuesday’s friendly match between Belgium and Spain has been cancelled due to an increased terrorist threat.
There were safety fears about the match following the Paris terror attacks which killed 129 people, with arrests made in Belgium.
And the Belgium team’s official twitter account confirmed the contest would not take place with a tweet which read: “Our match against Spain has been cancelled.”
A statement on the Belgian Football Association website gave more detail about the cancellation of the match, which was due to take place at Brussels’ Stade Roi Baudouin.
It read: “In consultation with the competent authorities and the Spanish national team, the Belgian FA has decided to cancel the match.
“At the very end of the evening the Belgian FA was contacted by the government, who made the recommendation not to play tomorrow’s match. This is because the terror alert level is high and with the current leakage of a suspicious person.
“We deeply regret that such a friendly match between two motivated teams has been cancelled so late and we understand the disappointment of many supporters.
“However, taking into account the exceptional circumstances, we cannot take any security risk with players and fans.
“Ticket holders will get more information about tickets in the course of this week.”
The Stade de France was targeted as part of Friday’s Paris attacks, with three people killed outside the ground as the home side played an international against Germany.
However, France’s match against England at Wembley on Tuesday will go ahead.
Recently a top Journalist from Germany, editor Dr. Udo Ulfkatte went public with some shocking news! He admitted to the world that the entire new media, especially the mainstream media is completely fake.
This is not so shocking to those of us who have unplugged from traditional news stations, especially those found on the television and get our news from independent and alternative new sources.
Dr. Udo Ulfkatte goes on in his very detailed talk in the video below and spills the beans about the whole charade. He also goes into some very interesting details about how the CIA gains control of all major Journalists.
This is something you have got to hear for yourself.
Drills coincide with Paris attacks, possible false flag
By Shepard Ambellas
Editor’s Note: In no way am I saying that the attacks did not take place or that no one was killed, but rather I’m opening the door to the possibility that key officials had some sort of a forewarning or possessed advance knowledge of the attacks.
PARIS, France (INTELLIHUB) — In a million-to-one chance and as fate would have it a direct contact of French President François Hollande, a man by the name of Dr. Patrick Pelloux, likely an intelligence operative, who was also the first witness to arrive on scene at January’s Charlie Hebdo Shooting, has once again managed to emerge himself into the media’s spotlight after being one of the first responders to Friday’s bloody attacks.
Now new bombshell forensic audio evidence suggests Dr. Pelloux was already withemergency personnel who were coincidentally involved in a live, “planned […] multi-site attack exercise” which was taking place that very morning.
Dr. Pelloux also said during the brief interview that because everyone was “prepared”and there was a quick mass “mobilization” of forces they were able to contain the carnage as much as possible suggesting a prestagging of sorts.
